HASSELL + FreeState merge to offer world-leading user experience design

International design practice HASSELL has strengthened its offering to clients by merging with London-based firm, FreeState, a multi-award winning group of user experience designers founded by Adam Scott, Ben Johnson and Charlotte Boyens.

The merger, effective immediately, will bring together the collective creativity, knowledge and resource base of the two practices for the benefit of their clients.

International design firm DDG acquired by BCT Architects

Baltimore-based international design practice Development Design Group (DDG) has been bought by BCT Architects, (BCT) and at the same time it announces at MAPIC that it has been awarded a commission to design its first Moscow shopping centre with another Russian project in the pipeline.

Snøhetta named Wall Street Journal Magazine’s 2016 Architecture Innovator of the Year

The Wall Street Journal has announced Snøhetta as the WSJ Magazine 2016 Architecture Innovator of the Year. Founding Partners Craig Dykers and Kjetil Trædal Thorsen were presented the award by artist and musician Laurie Anderson at the sixth annual awards ceremony on November 2, 2016. Snøhetta joins this year’s list of honorees that includes Ai Weiwei (Art), Es Devlin (Design), Daniel Humm & Will Guidara (Food), Melinda Gates (Philanthropy), Tom Ford (Film), and The Weeknd (Music).
